Case file THARL-117-K
Ext Refer: Dr J. Wilkinson
Hazard assessment: Standard isolation test 599
Background notes:
Physical location of signal source via Radiotropic triangulation of Scriabin-Giertz harmonics, MOD liaison after VLF interference report via Northwood. Retrieval of oscillator and identification as equipment from project K (internal MOD inquiry re security leak underway). One casualty, missing, presumed subsumed by TH entity at source of sigs, evidence of aquatic manifestation. Site cleaned and civilian authorities co-opted under SecServ guise. Local journal transcribed and edited for relevance, selected audio high level filtered for psychoprionic contamination motifs, filed for future studies of summoning dynamics on inland [[watercourses.]]

One of the first cases I studied was THARL-117-K, I think [[Harmonic Resonance ->Introduction]] is somewhat catchier.
Case Files

20th Feb 1991
Good scores from the Lincoln Radio Rally today, bit wobbly from staying with Slime the night before, both hammered and singing our way home like old times, just about coming round. Got a couple of big vacuum variable capacitors for £10, seem to have a good seal & should work with my mag loop on the boat. Also got a valve test oscillator, or at least I think so, seems to have a lot of odd features as well as the usual big frequency selector, multipliers etc, but various things I don’t understand. Bloke selling it wasn’t much help.
“Never worked out what was going on with that really, got it passed on from G-zero (can’t recall) who reckoned it came from an MOD missile test range. I’ve never found much use for it, bloody thing’s wide open.“
“How do you mean?” I ran the main selector dial around with a fingertip, the smooth, geared mechanism sweeping it scratched perspex pointer smoothly and slowly across the dial, an etched work of art with multiple lines of frequency readout corresponding to an eight-way range switch to its right.
“It’s working alright, just outputs harmonics all over the place no matter what you do with it, best guess is that it was used as an interference source to test filters or for a radar jamming transmitter, make sense coming from the MOD.”
I got him down to £15 from £25, it was worth it for the hardware alone, but I’ve always liked a mystery machine. The dial goes down to audio frequencies so I’ll have a listen tomorrow when I get back, round two with Slime tonight, getting too old for [[this.]]
